1. Who we are

Land Scout Cyprus is the data controller for the personal data described here. For privacy requests, contact the site administrator.

2. What we collect

Account data: email address, chosen username, password (stored only as a hash), and account role.
Consent records: the time you accepted these terms and this privacy notice, and any optional marketing consent.
Usage/audit data: login times, IP address, browser/user-agent, and — for professional/investor accounts — a record of which plot-level records you viewed and when, kept for compliance.

3. Why we use it (legal basis)

To provide and secure the service and manage your account (contract); to keep an access audit trail for the regulated land data (legitimate interest and compliance); and, where you opted in, to send you product updates (consent).

4. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Audit and login logs are retained for a limited period for security and compliance, then deleted or anonymised.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers acting on our instructions. The underlying land data originates from public DLS registries.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. Theme and language preferences are stored locally in your browser. No third-party advertising cookies are used.
